On Wednesday January 13, 2010 A narcotics investigation by The Webb County Sheriff’s office in conjunction with ICE Agents led to the seizure of 9.5 grams of heroin and 1.4 ounces of marijuana. The investigation was initiated after the Crime Stoppers TIPS Line received numerous calls of suspicious activity consistent with the sale of street level amounts of narcotics occurring at the 3600 Block of Flores St. a search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 9.5 grams of heroin with an estimated street value …

LAREDO , Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers will begin enforcing new U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements regarding the importation of cooked pork skins or chicharrones on January 14. USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service will require that cooked pork skins entering as personal importations or commercial cargo from countries/regions affected with certain exotic animal diseases be accompanied by an original certificate issued by an official of the National Government of the country/region of origin.
