Jesus “Chuy” Dominguez Candidate for 111th District Court Judge hosted a Bowling Tournament yesterday at Jett Bowl North.  Friends and Supporters took up all fifty lanes as Chuy Dominguez continues to push forward to win the 111th District Court seat that will be vacated by Raul Vasquez.  The event started at noon and continued to the last pin was dropped trophies were awarded to the winners.  (Click here to view pics)

Webb County Judge Candidate Andres “Andy” Reyes visited the children of Santa Monica Catholic Mission in El Cenizo this past Saturday in celebration of Dia de Los Reyes presenting toys to the children.  Reyes spoke with the kids about the importance of school and staying away of drugs.  Reyes was accompanied by his brother and was greeted by Bishop James Tamayo.  (Click here to view pictures of the event)

Webb County Judge Candidate Tano Tijerina hosted a Mega Tejano Dance this past Friday January 8th at the Casablanca Ballroom the event was standing room only as it was packed to capacity.  The dance featured tejano legends David Mares, David Lee Garza, and Gary Hobbs.  The dance turned into a celebration as Mrs. Tijerina had drawn the number one spot on the County Judge ballot for her husband Tano earlier at the Ambassador Reception Hall.    (Click here to view pictures of event)

 On Sunday January 10, 2010 , at approximately 6 am, three adults and two juveniles were arrested & detained by officers, at the intersection of Gustavus and Malinche for being involved in an Aggravated Robbery at a convenience store located on (602 Aldama).  A male suspect displayed and pointed a handgun at the store clerk and demanded money. On Saturday January 9, 2010  3:50 pm, an officer was dispatched to Calle del Norte and McPherson for a male vagrant urinating in public.  When the officer arrived and encountered the male subject, the subject became aggressive and grabbed a rock taking a combative stance against the officer.  When the officer attempted to take control of the subject, the subject then assaulted the officer by striking him on the back of the head with the rock.  With the assistance of some bystanders, the officer was able to take …
