On Thursday December 31, 2009 the Auto Theft Task Force served with four felony warrants for Theft S/J/F, ($30,000 Bond) and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity F/3, ($30,000 Bond) on Jose Manuel Antonio Arrellano, 23, and Ramon Coronado Contreras, 36, who were both involved in the theft of a 2001 Dodge Voyager van along with a third suspect back in November 16, 2009 from the Mall Del Norte parking lot located at 5300 San Dario. (LAREDO, TEXAS, JAN 5,’10) – The Laredo Public Library will once again be transformed into an art gallery when it displays the Teacher’s Discovery Traveling Exhibit, Art Beyond Borders, throughout the entire month of January. This exhibit is a partnership between Teacher’s Discovery and The International Museum of Twenty-first Century Arts (TIMOTC), an organization that was born from a series of international exhibits that premiered at the United Nations Headquarters.

“Operation Clean-Up” hits District II
Laredo, TX—Inspectors from various City departments will team up on Friday, January 8, 2010 to make a sweep of an area in City Council District II educating about and enforcing City of Laredo codes.

Sessions to benefit doctors and hospitals who do business with CMS
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Henry Cuellar today announced that a representative from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will be in Laredo on Thursday to meet with doctors and hospitals who do business with CMS.

Laredo, TX—January 5, 2010—Yesterday afternoon, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas was admitted to Doctor’s Hospital to undergo routine medical exams. Salinas should be released from the hospital either tomorrow or the day after. Salinas will return to work shortly, working hard for the citizens of Laredo.
