Esequiel Carreon, a wanted fugitive, arrested thanks to a “Crime Stoppers” tip

 Laredo, Texas – On Monday December 7, 2009,  The Webb County Sheriff’s Office Crime Stoppers Division apprehended one of the Webb County Sheriff’s Office most wanted, Esequiel Carreon, 29 years of age.

 Charges: murder, engaging in organized criminal activity and tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair, all felony 1.

 Carreon was indicted  for the murder of Manuel R. Dueñas-Segovia, the crime was committed on September 15,2009 at the 3100 block of Flores St.  Carreon was one of 4 defendants  involved in the murder.

 Thanks to a Crime Stoppers tip that came in at approximately 2 p.m., the caller stated that Carreon could be found at the 200 block of west Bustamante.  The Deputies conducted their investigation and after surveillance found Carreon hiding at his last known address, Deputies made contact with Carreon and arrested him without incident.  Carron was remanded to the Webb County jail.
