Bucks Host Ice Rays Today

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look to get back in the win column today when they host the Corpus Christi Ice Rays at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The Bucks fell to 0-2 against the Ice Rays this season thanks to Saturday night’s 2-1 loss at the American Bank Center. The Bucks fell to 1-2-1 in their last four games.

Corpus scored two goals in the first 5:07 of the second period, and Kevin Nastiuk stopped 29 of 30 shots he faced to lead the Ice Rays to the win. Seven of the Bucks last 10 games have been decided by one goal. Overall this season the Bucks are 4-1-3 in one-goal contests.

The Bucks will finish up their first three-in-three of the season today, as they look to take two of three games on the weekend.

Jeff Bes leads the Bucks in scoring with 17 points (5-12=17), but has been held without a point in his last five games.

With Saturday’s win the Ice Rays moved to with in one point of fifth place Texas in the Southern Conference standings.

Jereme Tendler leads Corpus in scoring with 14 points (10-4=14), including ten goals.
