Bucks Continue Homestand This Weekend, Hiebert Returns Saturday

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will continue their five-game homestand this weekend at the Laredo Entertainment Center when they host Odessa on Friday (Nov. 20th) and Texas on Saturday (Nov 21st). The Bucks have won four one-goal games in a row, and are in second place in the Southern Conference with a 7-2-2 record (16 points).

*FIESTA NIGHT NOV 20TH*

On Friday (Nov. 20th) the Bucks will celebrate Fiesta Night when they host First-Place Odessa at 7:30pm. The first 1,000 fans to enter the LEC receive a FREE maraca, courtesy of Taco Palenque.

In honor of the Mexican Holiday Dia de Revolucion, the Bucks will wear special Mexican themed jersey’s that will be auctioned off after the game. Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825).

*GIVE BLOOD, PLAY HOCKEY NOV 21ST, HIEBERT RETURNS*

On Saturday (Nov. 21st) Laredo hosts former Buck James Hiebert and the Texas Brahmas at 7:30pm. Hiebert has been a fan favorite in Laredo, and has played parts of six seasons in the Gateway City helping the Bucks win two President’s Cup Championships. Hiebert’s name is scattered across the Bucks record books, as he is third in Bucks history in goals (87), third in assists (164) and fourth in points (228). Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825).

Prior to Saturday’s game the Bucks will hold their annual “Give Blood, Play Hockey” blood drive at the LEC from 10am-8pm. Everyone who donates blood will receive TWO FREE TICKETS to an upcoming Bucks game, a commemorative Bucks blood drive t-shirt (while supplies last), and much more!

The Bucks will host a “Best Beef Ribs” tailgate competition starting at 4pm. The winner of the tailgate will receive a special grilling trophy, courtesy of Ed’s Trophy’s. The Bucks will also host a Car Show Extravaganza outside the LEC. Registration begins at 9am, with judging at 5pm. Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825).
