The City of Laredo Health Department will be continuing operations for the Flu Clinic tomorrow, November 10, 2009.  Healthy people who are between the ages of 2 to 49 can get vaccinated against H1N1.  All the other departments within the City of Laredo Health Department will be closed in observance of Veteran’s day.

Laredo, TX – The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) administered 2,000 vaccines at the first mass vaccination clinic held at the Laredo Entertainment Center (LEC) yesterday, November 9, 2009.  Many Laredoans came out and took advantage of the clinic.
 We want to thank the community for their continued cooperation in coming out and vaccinating themselves and their loved ones.  The CLHD expects to be receiving more vaccine within the coming weeks.  We continue to urge the public to ask their medical provider for the vaccine, especially those with …

LAREDO – Weather permitting on November 10, 2009 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on November 11, 2009, Flasher Equipment Company will be closing alternate lanes of traffic along San Dario between Hidalgo St. and Washington St. in order to re-stripe pavement markings along the IH 35 frontage roads.  This work is expected to continue daily for approximately one week.

Bucks Host Rio Wednesday, Look for Third Straight Win

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League look for their third straight win Wednesday night when they host Rio Grande Valley at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The Bucks will honor Local Hero’s including local military members, as well as local firefighters, police, border patrol and more. The first 1,000 fans to enter the arena receive a FREE “support our troops” wrist band. The Bucks will wear special Veterans Jersey’s Wednesday night that will be auctioned off after the game.  In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, all Webb County administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, November 11. 
The holiday closure includes the Webb County Tax Assessor Collector’s Office.
The Webb County Sheriff’s Department will continue all services on its regular schedule.
Webb County Offices will re-open at 8 a.m. Thursday,  November 12.
The next Webb County Commissioners meeting will be Monday, November 23 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the Webb County Courthouse located at 1000 Houston Street.

All City of Laredo administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in observance of Veterans’ Day. Protective and emergency services will be operational. 
 There will be no recycling or branch pick-up on Wednesday; please note that the trash collection schedule will resume on Thursday, November 12, 2009 on regularly scheduled routes.   The Recycling Drop-Off Center will also be closed on Veterans’ Day and will re-open the next day, during regular hours of operation, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  The City of Laredo Landfill will be open …

Jesus “Chuy” Dominguez Announces Campaign for the 111th District Court

Jesus “Chuy” Dominguez announced his campaign for the 111th District Court yesterday at the Palacio de Los Presidentes Reception Hall.  Jesus “Chuy” Dominguez is a local attorney he was greeted by family and supporters which included public servants from all levels of city and county seats including Constable Rudy Rodgriguez, JP Ricardo Rangel, JP’s Oscar and Hector Liendo and City Council Members Cindy Liendo Espinoza and Mike Garza.   The 111th District Court is currently presided over by Judge Raul Vazquez who recently announced his retirement.   Click here to view pics of …
