 Earlier today, the City of Laredo hosted a meeting with various local and Nuevo Laredo government agencies to begin planning the annual Paisanos Rest Stop, which helps Mexican citizens returning south for the holidays to stop, stretch their legs, get some refreshments, use the restrooms, and get valuable information about the remaining leg of their trip.

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League, in conjunction with Fox 39 Laredo, announced that a new episode of “Bucks Insider” will air this Saturday (Nov 7th) at 11:30am on Fox 39.
“Bucks insider” is a weekly television show hosted by “The Voice of the Bucks” Bryan Benway, that will feature exclusive inteviews with Bucks coaches, players and fans.
Former Bucks Captain Serge Dube will guest host this weeks show, as Benway is with the team in Arizona.

Narcs Take in 130 lbs of Marijuana

  On Wednesday, November 4, 2009, members of the Laredo Police Department’s Narcotics Division received information that marijuana was being stored at an apartment on the 2600 block of Ireland.  Upon arrival at said location, Narcotics officers and LPD Patrol were encountered by several male subjects outside.  Upon further investigation the seizure of 130 Lbs. of marijuana was discovered.  Officers arrested Isidro Padilla-Martinez DOB: 11/20/1988, Reymundo Cerna DOB: 07/17/1990, Ruben Puente-Perez DOB: 12/04/1983, Carlos Gaona DOB: 11/03/1988 and one male juvenile.  All were charged with Possession of Marijuana F/2 …

Protects State Tort Reform Laws, Requires Performance Assessment and Government Accountability on All New Health Agencies
 Washington, DC – Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) today announced that he has secured two major provisions in the final House version of health care reform. The measures were included in the Manager’s Amendment introduced Tuesday evening, which is a 42 page addendum to H.R. 3962, the “Affordable Health Care for America Act 2009” introduced last week.
