Santos Benavides Hits the Campaign Trail for Justice of the Peace Pct.2 Place 1

Santos Benavides hits the campaign trail with a succesfull dance this past Friday October 16th at the Casablanca Ballroom the event featured Ramon Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte and D’Kolombia. Many Benavides’ supporters turned out to kick off his campaign voicing their discontent of the current sitting JP Ramiro Veliz who has been allegedly accused of many abuses of power in South Laredo. The dance started with Tony Tigre playing his conjunto style music that had the crowd dancing early shorlty after Ramon Ayala
took the stage and belted out many of his now legendary hits. D’Kolombia a local standout band followed Ayala before his return to close out the evening’s event. 
Santos Benavides showed strength in numbers as he patiently listened to the complaints of the citizens of South Laredo promising change and return of honesty and integrity to the position he held for over 13 years before loosing to Veliz in a run-off in 2006. Present at the event were JP’s from surrounding counties who attended to show their support for one of South Laredo’s favorite sons. Santos Benavides is a heavy favorite to return to office in 2010.
