LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League, in conjunction with Fox 39 Laredo, announced that a new episode of “Bucks Insider” will air this Saturday (Oct 31st) at 11:30am on Fox 39.
“Bucks insider” is a weekly television show hosted by “The Voice of the Bucks” Bryan Benway, that will feature exclusive inteviews with Bucks coaches, players and fans.

On 10.21.2009 The Laredo Police Department arrested JORGE ALFONSO MARTINEZ, for owing $ 35,938.25 (126 violations) plus three new citations not included in the original warrant for a Grand Total of $36,723.25. The Laredo Police Department continues to urge anyone who owes outstanding traffic fines to make arrangements with Municipal Court before you are served with an arrest warrant.

On Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 three subjects; Carlos Alberto Sepulveda De La O, , Luis Raul Acosta Beltran, , and Jose Antonio Gonzalez Vargas, , were charged with Credit Card Abuse SJF. The above mentioned subjects were arrested at La Posada Hotel after their credit cards they used were flagged after a vigilant employee of the hotel noticed suspicious inconsistencies with the men. Tano Tijerina continues his bid for the Webb County Judge’s seat hosting a huge plate sale this past Saturday October 24th at his campaign headquarters located on loop 20. Friends and Supporters sold over 1,000 tickets for the plate sale but the day of the event an extra 200 came out in support of his campaign. On Friday October 23rd, members of the Laredo Police Department’s Narcotics/Vice Unit along with the Patrol Division worked a special detail on the west side of Laredo. The objective was to locate, identify and arrest anyone soliciting prostitution. A total of five females were arrested for soliciting money for sex from an undercover Laredo Police Officer. Arrested were (1) Veronica Lizeth Riva, (2) Angelica Maria Montemayor, (3) Juana Maria Garcia (4) Armida Selika Gonzalez (5) Trisha Lopez all were taken to the Webb County Jail bond pending magistration.

The mayor and the Chief’s Administration recognized three dispatchers at the Laredo Police Department’s Headquarters for their life saving efforts to get help to a U.S. Citizen in Nvo. Laredo. Ramiro Ramirez, Idalia Medina and Diamantina Gil were recognized for their team effort to help a man injured out of the country. Laredo, Texas (Webb County) - On Friday, October 23, 2009, a special inspection was conducted at the Webb County Jail by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards. At the time of inspection documentation revealed that the Webb County Jail is not meeting the 1 to 48 officer to inmate ratio.
