The State Board of Education recently recognized Maria Luisa “LuLu” Munoz as a “Heroes for Children” recipient. Munoz was one of 15 Texans honored for her significant contribution to public schools in Texas, and for outstanding contributions to the success of the Texas Public Education System. The recognition ceremony was held in the William B. Travis Building in Austin, Tx.

Laredo, TX – -The City of Laredo Health Department will hold its regularly scheduled rabies clinic. We want to inform the public that recently our animal control officers have seen a surge of unvaccinated pets. Additionally, a local boy was bitten by an unvaccinated dog putting him at potential risk of rabies. We urge everyone to get their pets vaccinated.
