LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced at a press conference on Thursday that Team Captain Serge Dube has retired from professional hockey after seven seasons. The announcement was made to the media and a large number of fans at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
Dube will continue to work in the Bucks Front Office as a Ticket Executive.
The 30-year-old Dube is the franchises All-Time leader in games played with 381, and has two Championship rings with the Bucks.

LISD’s Health Science/Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program will be hosting a Health Science Camp for LISD middle school students on Monday, October 12, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The camp will be held at the Dr. Dennis D. Cantu Health Science Magnet School at Martin High School located at 2002 San Bernardo.
The purpose of the Health Science Fair is to increase student awareness of LISD’s Health Science Program and to encourage careers in Health Science field.

Prosecutors with the Special Victims Unit of the Office of the District Attorney began presenting their case yesterday to a jury in the trial of a San Antonio man accused of beating his girlfriend and forcing her into prostitution.

Laredo, TX–The City of Laredo Health Department WIC Program will offer new, healthier foods to its participants starting October 1, 2009 as major improvements to the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program are rolled out across the state.
