Bill includes $44 Billion for Small Business Investments

Unknown Suspect in Murder #17 Identified as Ivan Santos

TheLaredo Police have identified the man in the footage released in the media yesterday as the third suspect wanted on Murder, Aggravated Assault and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.  The suspect is 22 year old Ivan Santos.  Santos has a combined bond of $3,000,000.00 for the arrest warrants listed as set by J.P. The Bucks look to put an end to a couple of negative streaks Friday night. The Bucks will look to snap their two-game winless streak (0-1-1), and their five-game home losing streak whe they take on conference-leading Amarillo.
After starting 2-0 the Bucks dropped both of their games last weekend, falling 4-2 Friday in Corpus, and 5-4 in overtime Saturday to Allen in their home opener.

Laredo Commission for Women Induct New Members

At an event held at La Posada Hotel the newest members of the Young Commission for Women were honored and inducted by the  Laredo Commission for Women, an organization whose mission it is to promote equality in legal, social, political, economic and educational opportunity and advancement for all women throughout the City of Laredo.  The inductees will serve on the commission for two years and join their senior counterparts at their regular monthly meetings.

Armed and Dangerous Suspect at Large

Arrest Made in 17th Homicide of the Year

 On Saturday, October 24, 2009, at approximately 2:55 am, the Laredo Police Department Communications Section received a call of a shooting in progress by 8500 block of Rock Springs.  Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a lifeless body, later identified as Daniel Perez Jr.,02/07/77, lying on his back in the front yard of the residence.  A second male victim had been shot in his left thigh.  The injured man was transported to Doctors Hospital for treatment.  The crime scene was secured by the Patrol Division and Laredo Police CAPERS …

Community Development Sweeps Through Neighborhood “Operation Clean-Up” hits District VIII

Influenza A H1N1 Vaccine

Laredo , TX – The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) has received 8,000 doses of Influenza A/H1N1 vaccine for Webb, Zapata, Jim Hogg and Duval Counties . This first batch of vaccine will be used for the City of Laredo’s Health Department high risk and primary care services, such as: for Title V maternity and well child, chronic disease prevention, Women Infants and Children (WIC), HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis patients.
