On September 2, 2009 , at approximately 7:26 p.m. the Laredo Police Narcotics & vice Unit assisted by Laredo Police K-9, followed a load vehicle and two escort vehicles away from a residence under surveillance on the 2600 block of Reynolds. A traffic stop was conducted by Clark and Mendiola but the load vehicle refused to stop for the LPD marked unit. 25 Year Old Dies in Oil Rig Accident
Laredo, Texas – On Wednesday September 2, 2009 at approximately 1:11 pm, Webb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call which led them to the scene of the fatal accident. The accident occurred at a ranch off Hwy 83, 12 miles north of IH35.

In an ongoing effort to combat the spread of the seasonal flu virus, LISD will be hosting Seasonal Flu Vaccine Clinics for all LISD employees. The LISD Health Service Department in conjunction with H.E.B. Pharmacy will be offering all LISD employees the opportunity to get the seasonal flu shot at clinics held at various locations throughout the district.

The City of Laredo Traffic Safety Division crew will be working on installing speed hump cushions on Antelope Lane on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Antelope Lane will be closed for thru traffic from Elk Drive to Deer Lane.
