Martin-Nixon Football Game Tickets on Sale

Laredo Independent School District’s Athletic Department announces the sale of tickets for the annual Martin-Nixon football game. Reserve tickets for the annual game can be purchased at the Athletic Department’s Office at the administrative building of the former Lamar Middle School located at 2502 Galveston starting today, Friday August 14. The athletic office is open Monday- Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 Reserve tickets will be sold for $6. Also, general admission tickets will be sold at each campus the week prior to the game for …

City Style Lowrider Car Club Thanks Mayor Raul G. Salinas

Claudia Esparza, City Style Lowrider Car Club, thanks Mayor Raul G. Salinas for his support in City Style’s 2nd Annual “Making a Laredoan’s Wish Come True” Car Show held at the Laredo Civic Center on Sunday, July 19, 2009.  This year’s recepient was Amanda Guzman, whose heartfelt wish was to go scuba diving in Belize.

Cuatro Vientos contractor selected – elected officials elated
LAREDO – The Texas Department of Transportation opened bids for the multi-million dollar Cuatro Vientos (State Loop 20 extension) construction project for South Laredo yesterday afternoon.
Preliminary data notes that J. C. Evans Construction Company, L.P. of Leander, Texas has submitted the low bid at a cost of $33.8 million. The low amount was a welcome decrease from the projected $59 million construction estimate on this project. Funding for this project includes $31.5 million in Economic Stimulus (ARRA) funding with the remainder coming from …

BRONCOS ROAD STRUGGLES CONTINUE AGAINST DILLAS

August 13, 2009-Amarillo, TX-The Laredo Broncos got a great start by Gregorio Martinez, as it wasn’t enough as they lost to the Amarillo Dillas by a score of 3-1 at Amarillo National Bank Dilla Villa, on Thursday.
The Dillas struck first in the second inning.  Terrance McClain tripled to leadoff the inning.  That was followed by a rbi double by Trent Lockwood.  That gave Amarillo the 1-0 lead.
