AUSTIN-South Texas citizens will have an opportunity to talk transportation at a town hall meeting scheduled later this month in Kingsville.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is partnering with Representative Tara Rios Ybarra to host the town hall meeting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 1 on the Texas A&M University Kingsville campus, 920 University Blvd., Biology Earth Science Building, Room 100 (J. Talmer Peacock Auditorium).

August 10, 2009-Edinburg, TX-The Laredo Broncos had an early lead but could not hold it, as they lost to the Edinburg Roadrunners by a score of 5-4 at Edinburg Baseball Stadium, on Monday.
The Broncos started the scoring in the first inning. Luis Ugueto and Robert Moron both reached on errors by the Roadrunners defense. Ugueto then stole third base, and scored on a Mario Mendez sacrifice fly. Laredo had the early 1-0 lead.

Eagle Pass, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents conducting outbound operations this weekend seized $279,950 in undeclared currency at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
The currency seizure occurred on Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009, at Bridge II. CBP officers, Border Patrol agents and Maverick County sheriff’s deputies conducting outbound (southbound) inspections referred a 2005 Honda Odyssey driven by Juan Ramirez Hernandez, a 41-year-old Mexican citizen from Piedras Negras, Coahuila , Mexico for a secondary examination.
