Laredo, Texas – On Thursday, July 30, 2009, at approximately 12:45 pm, a missing inmate from Webb County jail,  Francisco Javier Ruedas, Jr. was apprehended.

Sheriff Martin Cuellar, with the assistance of Federal and State Law Enforcement Agencies as well as  Policia Municipal De Nuevo Laredo, captured Ruedas after a 4 day man hunt.  Sheriff Cuellar met  with the Mexican Officials half way at Bridge 1  in order to extradite Ruedas back to the United States.

Ruedas escaped from the Webb County Jail on Sunday, July 26, 2009, after a Correctional Officer failed to secure the holding cell door where Ruedas was being held.
