Mayor Salinas Supporting Laredo Heat

At a Laredo Heat press conference earlier today, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas was on hand to not only wish luck to our team, but also, to welcome the three other teams to Laredo who will be participating in this weekend’s tournament. Teams from Seattle, Tampa Florida and Ventura County, California are in town, hoping to advance to the next round of play-offs. Standing in their way are Laredo’s own premier soccer team. Games start today at 5:30 p.m. at Texas A&M International University and continue tomorrow evening. Tickets are $5; children 12 and under get free. Mayor Salinas jokes with Laredo Heat players Juan De Dio Ibarra and Danny Galvan, while Coach Isreal Collazo looks on.
