South Laredo Residents Come Out in Support of Danny Dominguez

DPP_0011South Laredo comes out in support of Danny Dominguez who will be trying to unseat the current South Laredo JP who is marred in controversey over the release of a dangerous individual  that fled the scene of a Hit & Run accident.  The vicitm of the accident has since been in a coma in a San Antonio Hospital.   Danny Dominguez and his supporters hosted a steak plate sale this past Saturday morning that started at 11a.m. and finished at 2:30p.m.  In this short span of time over a thousand South Laredo Residents turned out to pick up or purchase their plates.   Family and friends of Dominguez participated in the event showing their strength in numbers as they get ready for the upcoming campaign which will be decided in March of 2010.  The race has so far attracted at least five candidates that will try to unseat JP Veliz who has upset the community for what some might consider abuse of power.   Wearing a red shirt that simply read Danny Dominguez the host graciously shook hands and spoke with supporters as they pulled in the area.  Free softdrinks and Paletas courtesy of Paleteria La Chueca were given out to help beat the heat as temperatures easily topped the hundred degree marker.

    I am pround to announce that JUDGE Ramiro Veliz Jr. has been re-elected. The peole spoke and decided that they want someone who knows what he’s doing and making positive changes in south laredo. Not someone who is just running his mouth off and doesn’t have a clue about what the people really need. To all of those domingez supporters, I am truly sorry for your loss! HAHAHA!
