2009 Spring Commencement Exercises for Texas A&M International University will span two days this week.
An evening ceremony will take place Friday at 8 p.m. outdoors on the University Green for candidates for graduation from the College of Arts and Sciences or the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
On Saturday at 9 a.m., candidates for graduation from the A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business or the College of Education will cross the outdoor stage. Candidates for both exercises combined number approximately 443.

Seminole Warriors Boxing latest signing; Cestus Management’s Super-Middleweight, Don “DA BOMB” George, sensationally returned to the ring by blasting out Mike Walthier in one minute and forty-five seconds of the first round. As soon as the bell rang George, got down to business peppering Walthier with hard jabs and a fast combination to the head and body. LEGISLATION WOULD REQUIRE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENTS OF EVERY FEDERAL PROGRAM
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) and Congressman Dennis Moore (KS-03) last week introduced H.R. 2142, the Government Efficiency, Effectiveness, and Performance Improvement Act. The legislation would provide congressional policy makers with better information on program performance so that they can conduct more effective oversight, improve the effectiveness of agency and program operations and ensure that taxpayer money is being used efficiently and effectively.
