Nearly 250 Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) students will initiate a new tradition in highlighting undergraduate and graduate research, scholarly and creative activity with the first presentation of the Lamar Bruni Vergara Academic Conference Monday – Thursday, April 20-23.

(Laredo, TX) The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is going hi-tech to inform motorists about lane closures and construction related activity. TxDOT’s Laredo District is now posting important highway information on Twitter, the popular and free message utility available worldwide.
“This is a great way to keep the public informed on what is happening on area highways and roads,” said Albert Quintanilla, P.E., Laredo District Engineer. “It gives the public up-to-date information on lane closures and other important information concerning our highway projects.”
